Mello Partner Programme Terms

1. Eligibility & Partner Status

You must be at least 18 years old, a legal resident of the UK, Ireland, or an approved country, and in good standing to apply as a partner. Partners are classified as independent contractors, not employees. Mello reserves the right to decline or suspend partnership at any time for breach of these terms.

2. Commission Structure

• Rate: 30% recurring commission on all eligible subscriptions referred
• Duration: Lifetime of the subscription (as long as subscriber remains active)
• Attribution window: 90 days from first click
• Payment threshold: Minimum £25 per month; lower amounts roll over
• Payment method: Bank transfer or store credit (partner chooses)
• Payment schedule: Monthly, within 30 days of month end

4. Disclosure of Commercial Relationship

You must disclose to anyone you promote Mello to that you earn a commission if they sign up through your referral link. Use clear language like: "I earn a commission on signups—but I only promote tools I genuinely believe in."

This is not optional. Clear disclosure protects both you and your audience.

5. Professional Conduct (Vet Practices, Nurses, Professionals)

If you are a vet practice, vet nurse, groomer, or other regulated professional:

• You are responsible for ensuring your participation complies with your professional conduct standards and local veterinary/professional board rules
• You must disclose the financial relationship to clients and colleagues
• Mello does not provide legal or compliance advice for your jurisdiction; consult your professional body
• You alone are liable for any breach of your professional conduct rules

6. Branding & Logo Use

Upon approval, you will receive official partner assets: logos, social graphics, email templates, and copy. You may use only these materials. Do not alter, modify, or repurpose the Mello logo or branding. Do not use Mello branding in any way Mello has not explicitly approved.

7. Prohibited Marketing Methods

Partners may not:

• Use spam, unsolicited email, or harassment
• Make false or misleading claims to drive signups
• Bid on "Mello" branded search terms (AdWords, etc.) without prior written consent
• Create fake reviews or fake testimonials
• Use competitor brand names or keywords in paid advertising
• Engage in any deceptive practices

8. Taxes & Legal Responsibility

You are responsible for all taxes on affiliate commissions. Mello will provide a summary of payouts for tax reporting purposes, but we do not provide tax advice. Consult a tax professional in your jurisdiction about reporting and withholding obligations.

9. Termination

Mello may terminate your partnership immediately if:

• You violate these terms (including making prohibited medical claims)
• You engage in spam, fraud, or deceptive practices
• You breach confidentiality or misuse partner materials
• You harm Mello's reputation or brand
• We have reasonable cause to believe you have violated these terms

Upon termination, you stop earning new commissions. Commissions already earned and approved are payable.

10. Limitation of Liability

Mello provides the affiliate programme and Avelon integration on an "as is" basis. Mello is not liable for:

• Lost commissions due to technical errors or platform downtime
• Failure of Avelon's tracking or payment system
• Subscriber refunds or chargebacks
• Any dispute with a subscriber you referred
• Your compliance with professional conduct or tax obligations

11. Changes to These Terms

Mello reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify partners of material changes via email. Continued participation after notification constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
