What she reviewed
In October 2026 Linda was paid to review the Mello app screen by screen, and then these 13 guides. In both cases the brief was the same: tell us what is wrong, not whether you approve it.
- Hypoglycaemia in diabetic pets
- Ketones in diabetic dogs and cats
- When a diabetic pet will not eat
- A missed or uncertain insulin dose
- Life expectancy with diabetes
- Glucose curves
- Feeding a diabetic cat
- Diabetic remission
- SGLT2 inhibitors for diabetic cats
- Home glucose monitoring
- Why diabetes will not stabilise
- How to give an insulin injection
- Treats for diabetic pets
Every recommendation she made was implemented. Where she told us something was wrong, the corrections log records what it was and what we did about it.
What this review is not
Linda was paid for her time to find faults. That is not an endorsement, and Mello does not describe itself as vet-approved or as built by vets.
The review covers the app and the 13 guides listed above, at the dates shown on each. The other guides on this site have not been reviewed by a vet and do not carry her name.
It was a review on a date, not an ongoing arrangement. Linda read those pages as they stood on 24 October 2026. Several have been edited since — some to fix things a later source check found, including figures that turned out not to come from anywhere. She has not seen the current versions, and we have no standing arrangement for her to. Any page that has changed since she read it says so in its own colophon, and the corrections log records what changed and why. We would rather tell you that than let her name quietly cover text she never saw.
Nothing here is advice about an individual animal. Your own vet is the only person who has examined your pet, and they are the one to ask before you change anything about its care.
